Dmytro Skochko (b. March 29, 1990, Kharkiv) is a Ukrainian prose writer and novelist. He authored the post-apocalyptic detective novel “Trash: A Kharkiv Detective in Post-Apocalypse Times” and the documentary book “To the Word” about the artists of the Kharkiv “Slovo” house. A laureate of the “Fakel” literary competition, he writes in a deeply atmospheric style.

🎬 His novel “Trash” isn’t just dystopia–it’s a mirror of the future urging us to care for our city and planet. 🌆 He envisions Kharkiv in 2040 where showers are a luxury and waste collection is a profitable industry. 🖼 In “To the Word”, he resurrects Kharkiv’s artists from the “Slovo” house as modern-day legends. 📚 In another book, a gentle irony reveals how myth seeps into everyday lives. 🤣 He jokes that he’s not writing books, but creating a map of dystopia–so there's somewhere not to get lost.
