Edith Eger – Hungarian-born American psychologist, author of «The Choice» and «The Gift». As a teenager, she survived Auschwitz, losing her parents but not her resilience. After the war she emigrated to the US, became a therapist, and devoted her life to helping people heal from trauma. Often compared to Viktor Frankl, she turned her suffering into a message of freedom and hope.

✨ At 16, she was forced to dance for Josef Mengele in Auschwitz. 📚 The Choice became a global bestseller and an Oprah Book Club pick. 🌍 Worked with war veterans, abuse survivors, and trauma patients. 💡 Blended scientific therapy with her personal survival story. 🎓 Taught at universities in California and Texas. 🖊 Saw writing as a way to transform pain into strength. 🏆 Recognised internationally as a symbol of resilience and humanity. 🙃 Curiously, in later life she returned to ballet – fulfilling a dream cut short by war. 😄 Amusingly, she often said the best medicine is “a good dance in the kitchen.”
