Wikipedia

William Kent Krueger is an American novelist of the 20th–21st century; author of the Cork O’Connor series and Ordinary Grace; hook: winner of the Edgar Award. Raised in Iowa and living in Minnesota, his stories are steeped in the spirit of the North Woods. His fiction blends crime, family, and faith, with nature acting almost like a character in itself.

📚 Began writing in school but collected many rejections before success. 🌲 Minnesota’s woods and lakes are the heartbeat of his novels. 🕵️‍♂️ His detective Cork O’Connor is half Irish, half Ojibwe – mirroring cultural identity. 📖 Ordinary Grace won the Edgar Award in 2014. 💡 Says crime fiction is less about the crime than the ripples it leaves in people’s lives. 🎤 Enjoys meeting readers in small towns where stories “travel by word of mouth.” 🤝 Supports aspiring writers through talks and workshops. 🌍 His works are translated worldwide. 😄 Jokes that sometimes his characters argue with him – and win.
