Winston Groom – American writer of the 20th–21st c.; Forrest Gump, Gump & Co; global fame after the Tom Hanks film. A Vietnam veteran, journalist, and novelist, he wrote about war, U.S. history, and human fate. His style mixed satire, humour, and tragedy.
